What makes a course a Boston Qualifier? The course must be measured by a qualified course measurer and then certified by Athletics Canada. The Georgina Marathon (and Half Marathon) course was measured in 2021 by Peter Pimm and is a certified course – so come get your BQ with us! The Georgina Marathon and Half Marathon course is FLAT and FAST. Not to mention beautiful, as much of the course is run along the south shore of Lake Simcoe, making it a feel like an experience you would get south of the border, yet you’re just 45 minutes north of Toronto! In 2021 we had had more runners as a percentage of participants achieve Boston qualifying times than any other race in the GTA – and we expect the same in 2022.
