Oakville 21.1 Half Marathon

The Nutrience Oakville 21.1 Half Marathon, 10km and 5km is Sunday October 5, 2025.

Registration is now open!

Run a beautiful fast, flat and scenic course along the lakeshore in Oakville, exploring some of the picturesque neighborhoods along the way.  This is the perfect course and time of year to plan to run a personal best and/or bring the whole family for a day of active fun!

The race route starts at Shell Park, turns left onto Lakeshore and explores some of the neighborhoods to the south of Lakeshore.  It does a loop through beautiful Tannery Park before heading back to Shell Park.

Half Marathon 21.1km start: 7:30 AM
10km start: 7:50 AM
5km start: 8:00 AM

Aid Stations will be serving water and Gatorade hydration approximately every 3km on the course.  Portable toilets will be available at each aid station as well as at the start/finish line.

The cut off times will be 3.5 hours after the start of the 21.1k half marathon distance race.

For safety reasons, no dogs or strollers are allowed to take part in the race.

Parking & Transportation Information:

Oakville is in the GTA and is easy to get to by vehicle or transit. There will be NO RACE DAY PARKING in Shell Park. Runners should park in the Bronte Go Station Lot and free shuttle service will be provided between Bronte Go Station and the race venue at Shell Park starting at 5:30am from the Go Station and last bus leaving Shell Park at 11:50am. Spectators are welcome to use the shuttle as well.

Race Kit Pick Up:

Tuesday September 30th 4pm-7pm ADVANCE Kit Pick Up in Toronto at Culture Athletics, 972 Queen Street East.

Saturday October 4th 11am-5pm at the RACE EXPO (location TBA) where you can also pick up your race kit. The expo will also include exhibits and vendor tents from race sponsors and supporters. 

There will be an option for mail out race bibs if you cannot make kit pick up – details coming soon. There will be NO RACE DAY kit pick up.

Your “Race Kit” includes your bib number, event T-Shirt and Swag Bag from sponsors. Everyone in the event MUST have a race bib in order to participate.

If you are picking up for other people, you must bring email confirmation that you are allowed to pick up for them and they must have done their race roster waiver.

If you are picking up for a large group of 10 or more, please email us ahead of time so we can set aside those bibs and kits for you. oakville21.1@gmail.com

Weather Policy: 
Safety always comes first and Athletics Ontario sets rules and policies that outline when an event must be delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather.  In the case of inclement weather that forces our race directors to cancel an event, there will be no refunds.  In the case of a weather cancellation, by that time a large portion of the race fee’s have already been allocated. Registered participants will still receive your swag bag and race shirt.  Thank you for understanding these policies.

Cancellation Policy:
No cancellations or refunds. If for any reason the event is cancelled, you may do the race as a virtual event. There will be no deferrals or refunds. Transfers between distances or to other runners are allowed until September 27th and can be done through the “transfer” link on our race roster page. There will be a $5.00 administration fee for transfer.

COMMUNITY EVENT NOTIFICATION – ROAD CLOSURES IN YOUR AREA

2025 Date TBC

The Nutrience Oakville 21.1 Half-marathon, 10K and 5K will be held out of Shell Park with the first race beginning at 7:30 am. The following road closures will be enforced and monitored by Halton Regional Police and Town of Oakville by-law officers. Please take note of the times and closures and plan your travels accordingly. Emergency services such as police, ambulance, and fire will not be affected. Certain transit routes and parking will be affected. Notices will be placed at the affected routes two weeks in advance of race day.

Parking Restrictions:

Temporary “No Parking Special Event” signs will be installed in the Bronte area on race week These restrictions will be enforced between 12:01AM and 11:00AM on race day only.

Noise Exemption 

Please note that this event holds a Town of Oakville Special Event Permit and that this event will include amplified sound within Shell Park (3307 Lakeshore Rd W). Amplified sound has been approved as part of the Special Event Permit for the following date/time(s)/location:

7:00 AM – 12:00 PM  

Residents and stakeholders within the vicinity of the approved location can anticipate amplified sound (i.e. announcements and music).

Burnet St. – Eastbound closed from Brookfield Rd to Wilson St. 6:30-11:00 am
Kerr St. – Full closure 6:30-11:00 am
Walker St. – Eastbound from Wilson St. to Waterfront Trail entrance. 6:30 – 10:30 am
Wilson St. – Southbound from Burnet St to Walker St. 6:30 – 10:30 am

Detour Routes

  • For residents between Bronte Rd & Great Lakes Blvd., please use Chalmers Rd./Mississaga to access Rebecca St.
  • For residents north of Lakeshore Rd. between Third Line and Dorval, please use Rebecca St. for east/west travel.
